Did you gain anything out of your past relationships?

I think the one I learned the most from was a girl in college. She was waaay in the closet and everything we did had to have a cover story. It was too much for me and we ended it. But I learned that you can't make someone be something else, and that applies to both of us. I couldn't make her take a step she wasn't ready for, and at the same time, I couldn't make myself unhappy to keep up a relationship that just didn't work. Sometimes people just aren't right for each other, and that's ok.
