I'm so sorry. I think just give it time, and eventually make room in your heart for someone else. I know, that's easier said than done, but I don't think there are any shortcuts.

This why I don’t invest myself in other people. Take what you want and be nice. Keep your mind off of it. You have control.

Act like you never went out. Work on yourself by working hard and meeting people, have fun, etc. Wipe the slate clean. I've been there.
