When you are in a relationship and you ask the person you're with if they really love you,you should hear just yes with no "buts" after am I correct?

The man I was with said yes BUT life is short. This isn't a great answer in my opinion😐😐😐😐

@SW-User If someone asked me that question I'd really become angry. This might be the end of a relationship. He would ask only once.

@SW-User that's how I feel he's really saying "I don't love you but trying not to hurt you" type of thing going on the whole answer is just off. Men are very direct so but is a red flag when men pair it with love🤔🤔
