I mean, when i'm 40 and maybe i don't feel like i'm at my prime anymore and a 20 year old woman comes on to me, i'm probably gonna feel good about myself and follow it up.

Simple biology and attraction, we're wired to procreate just as women are. Younger women are healthy and more fertile, it makes scientific sense.
I'd apply the same line of questioning to women and i'm pretty sure it's the same answer.

I'm 51 and I can't imagine myself doing it (hypothetically if I weren't married). That's something I never fully understood myself. The best I can come up with is that men aren't much different than women in that they need to still feel like they are attractive and desirable as they age, and what better way than to have a younger person find you attractive enough to sleep with you. That's just a theory of course, but it makes sense. And don't forget...there are women who do it too.

incompetent men like young women/girls because it makes them seem "good" to someone innocent/sexually inexperienced (young girl has little or no knowledge/experience with other partners to compare him to).
