@SW-User Not really, it just never got popular like the term "bae" did. It comes from the word "boyf" which is old school text shortening of "boyfriend". But then people began using it as an actual word that they would say out loud.

@Belladonna Well I dunno about calling a cat that, but "boof" came from "boyf" which is a shortening of "boyfriend" that people used back when we didn't have full keyboards in phones and you had to abbreviate words or else take like ten minutes to send one text.
