Nope. Only if I'm not into them. Otherwise, I have to hold myself back. I'm a disgusting romantic, at heart, so I have to mentally stab him a couple times to keep him from coming out.

But no. I don't get scared of love. I can handle it. There may have been some times when I wasn't ready, or when I was weaker, where I withdrew. But, it's not a big deal for me, now. I can control it.

It's exactly because you made those mistakes that you are better suited for it, now. You should have grown from those mistakes. You know what to watch out for. But you'll probably make more mistakes. And when you do, you will have to adjust, again.

If he is the perfect guy for you, then he will be able to work with you on those mistakes. You don't have to be perfect. No one can obtain that goal. Being in a relationship is growing, together, towards perfection, yet never reaching it.

The only purpose of fear is to be overcome.

it is always risky to invest emotionally but the price of unwilling to do so, being forever alone, makes it a no brainer to me. its ok to be prudent and take time no reason to move quickly on matters of the heart but if there are no red flags i suggest you give it chance.
