Will you go for a open relationship or open marriage with your mate

recently I came across a couple they have been together and living this lifestyle since past 9 years
do relationships as such survives ?
if so what keeps them together after being with different people

Absolutely not! If I'm only the person you want, and not the one that you need. Then what are we doing? Why commit to a relationship?

@scottamadore2 The only thing that changes is now I'm asking myself why am I with him? If he is only the person I want and not the person I need then I need to find someone else.
