Will you go for a open relationship or open marriage with your mate

recently I came across a couple they have been together and living this lifestyle since past 9 years
do relationships as such survives ?
if so what keeps them together after being with different people

@scottamadore2 Morals are individual. Who is to say that society is correct on monogamy? Jealousy is an undesirable trait. If both consent, what is the harm? One may have large sexual drive while another is impotent or has little drive. Numbers may mean nothing. What is normal for you may be abnormal for another. Consider another point of view. Openmindedness is a fine quality.

@scottamadore2 I am in an open relationship. It was my idea from the start. And he was agreeable. We are no longer intimate. His decision. A long story why...I rarely add. But I do thank you for the thought. Take care.

@Gwangi Yet it is a viable solution. People tend to think selfishly. If one doesn't want or desire intimacy, why deny one's love the opportunity for it? It is harmful emotionally and physically. People obey the rules or norms of society. We are each part of society. We make our own choices. Choose wisely.

@PoetryNEmotion absolutely! Couples and partners can make their own rules for whatever the reason. Totally viable solution which more couples with asymmetric sex drives should try.

@Gwangi The minds of refusers are closed. And it is their mates who suffer, unfortunately. Sexless marriages do not work. It is tragic, but truthful. So much pain is unnecessary. Divorce. Open marriage. Living separately. Why should one be unloved when life is so damn short? Be free is what I recommend. Freedom SINGS.
