Should I give this guy a chance?

So there is this guy I like that I'm planning to ask out, but my friends say they are warning me by telling me he's super dumb. Though even if he is, there is a chance I may still like him anyway.

Only you can judge if your friends are smart enough to know dumb when they see it. Maybe he never cared to exert himself around them but with you it will turn out he’s an astrophysicist.

If he accepts your offer of going out, you can assess his IQ yourself.
