I think it depends.
You can find your soulmate in a close-knit community of friends while others have hundreds of acquaintances and are still looking.
In the end, I think it's more about a matter of finding people whose company actually add a lot to your life and then see how things develop. You can't really set out "looking" for true love, we're not living in a fairy tale.

@scheddybratzke Well, life's a constant rollercoaster of emotions. There are your ups and downs and both can be either really high or really, really low. If you're scared to get hurt you might miss out on some great experiences. A breakup, however nasty, can be recovered from. Just chin up and press on :P
