How do you get over rejection from someone you deeply love?

Primnproper · 56-60, F
See it as their loss if they don't appreciate the good person that you are..then look up and move on..

It's hard..different ways work for different people; time only worked for me, and I still have to tell myself that I can't miss what I never had.

Got this idea from the Shopaholics books by Sophie Kinsella....you carefully pick out the stitches in the hems of all his draperies, insert dead fish, and re-sew. Then leave.

@Peaches So funny...I haven't seen you in a bit, and was just thinking about you today! Weird! LOL!!!

@4meAndyou I was checking on ya for a while now wondering where you got off to? 😕Was hoping no one was buggin' you or anything.

@Peaches Naw, nothing l like that. I have just not found too many interesting questions here lately....😜

Time ,
Distractions help
not letting your mind go there ,would have ,should have ,could have
but in all my experience ,and I feel like an expert now
only time helps ,do your best to keep your mind off it
if its to intense ,there are meds that will help
but I quit them when I had to take meds for the side effects
real bad vivid dreams
I don’t. I just lose a little more. 🖤

It's like any kind of grief, you never entirely forget them. But learning to live with loss, moving forward little by little, not expecting everything to suddenly 'be right' one day, yes, that's possible. And life more or less will be 'right'.

Love is always the same - constant, never stops. The relative ways of dating, being together, changing directions, finding new partners or remaining solo doesn't define deep love. That is mere exchange of needs which at times crosses extremes for whatever reasons.

One day at a time. 🙂

Time, keeping distance from the person for a while, and making a conscious effort to direct your mind elsewhere. It's hard but time does heal.

You let it take it's course as you grieve. 💔Give yourself time to grieve. 🥀For some reason pain is all part of our soul journey here.✨😔

I am not sure you can get over the rejection, that type of pain
MyLady · 56-60, F
Yeah. I guess not 😢

So what are you going to do about it then?
SW-User
@MyLady Live in the shame of it. 😥
MyLady · 56-60, F
Oh! I am sorry! 😢
Deep love doesn't care about acceptance or rejection. It just stays.
hminuk · 61-69, M
Not easy but you just have to be strong.
Just understand not to ever love that deeply again and never allowing to reasonably think it's possible to do so!
MyLady · 56-60, F
Wow! So you here it is as well. Found on the Internet. Thank you.
@JustGoneNow Just my thought and were I stand on the subject.
@MyLady I’ve lived it too. My sweet angel was a pure love. His absence will forever haunt me. Wish him well. He deserves it. 🖤
