Why does breastfeeding, even when I’m completely covered, still attract so many stray eyes and disapproving looks?

I never understood that... to heck with them. You feed your child.

Seems people forget that they have mothers too.

Breastfeeding is a beautiful concept.

Because people are either nosey or ignorant

i will not ever understand why people are that way about it, it should not be so. and if you let the baby scream and cry out of hunger they'd turn around and call you a bad mother for not feeding them.

Because there's a social stigma against doing it in public. The social stigma is bad and needs to change. You are doing nothing wrong, they need to figure their shit out and stop being assholes to a woman just trying to be a mother.
