What does it feel like to be deeply and truly loved?

Sorta like being high. And codependent and reliant on someone else. Just being happy. Mostly. Except also, well, this is more a mutual thing--their problems are your problems; if they hurt, then you hurt. And if they're happy, you're happy.

But there is also a comedown which hurts the equivilent of how good it felt. Nothing stays up forever.

That puppy love is overrated. But, I would still qualify it as "deeply and truly". Mostly, except it's just hormones that fade over time. Then, if the people stick together, "love" takes on a much less romantic meaning: wanting to strangle them in their sleep, but being unable to, because they're kinda a part of you. Basically just like being roommates with someone.

I don't think that kind of thing happens, long-term. But, the beginning stages can be intoxicating: which is a good word for it.

Unless it's one-sided, with them deeply and truly loving you, but you don't love them. Then it's suffocating.
