Never quite understood the 'never date your friends' thing.
I mean I get that once you change your relationship from 'friend' to 'lover' status you run the risk of possibly losing a friend if the relationship thing doesn't work out.
But you start from a position of trust; admiration and respect so none of that should ever need to be questionable !

You have to be cautious because it could end up altering or ending a friendship permanently if it doesn't work out.

I think there was a reason I hadn't dated them yet. I might not know what it is yet, but something has always kept us apart, so why change that.

It's certainly a risk but could turn out to be a wonderful thing.
