A few weeks ago my grandson and his sister stayed the weekend with his Dads Mom (his dad was killed in a wreck when he was 5) His aunt ,his Dads sister gets angry with them and says she is taking a belt to both of them . Well Sister (thats what we call my granddaughter )would be tough enough to spank unless she let you ,but my grandson though he is on 17 is all man ,you try to man handle him ,pack a lunch . So as she comes back with the belt my grandson see's she is serious and loses it ,He says you hang on just a minute there are only 2 people on this planet that have earned the right to punish me if need be , My Papaw and my Mom and you ain't either of them ,I suggest you put the belt down .He is 6'3" ,if I told him to get across my knee I am whipping him ,he would get mad ,,but he would get across my knee ,,He is my boy and still to this day shows his grandpa nothing but respect . But he made me grin from ear to ear as he told me this story . He was over tonight telling me he got a playstation 4 ,he already has a 3 and an XBox 1 so for me to chose which of his gaming systems I want ,the Xbox or the Playstation 3 and he is buying me a huge flat screen .(I never watch TV its just noise so I have a dino of a set that weighs 100lbs in a entertainment center , No HDMI or HD but its big and has a good picture ,its only been paid for like 20 yrs .But now he wants me to have a big screen and a better gaming system then an Xbox 360 I rarely play ,,but his concern for Papaw ,thats the issue . Yea he is not just talking as most 17 yr old do , He is starting his internship where he gets paid for a class he is in where he works at the air port as an aviation mechanic ,He is so good at his class he also has a part time job there until he graduates ,and he works for 2 well off men doing jobs from cutting the grass (with his own lawn tractor he bought ) to minor home repair and odd jobs (they keep him busy and pay him very well ), in the summer he has his own lawn service so this is not the average teen , He works hard ,he is very well mannered ,respectful he just makes me so proud I could bust . But he is such a gentle giant ,(he is still growing )and loves his grandpa so much . It just was something hearing him say only 2 people on the planet could still spank him (he is way to big to get across my knee anymore lol ) but he would if I told him to ,,thats just how good a boy he is ,, you damn right I feel special, I am the man God let be his grandpa
@bijouxbroussard The grandson I was speaking of is 18 now ,,he is under contract now with an aviation company ,,goes to school for a few more months and works full time as a structure mechanic ,,soon he will be working on engines too .. He is sharp in his uniform ,everyone loves his work ethic ,and his manners and respect ,He is still Papaws baby and he will tell you so ,,,all 6'4" of him He and my son and another grandson are in the bed room playing on their consoles ,they have the bed room looking like command central with all the flat screens ,,but all 3 of my grandsons asked to spend the night ,and I am the strict one ,and he cooked for us all ,he is a good cook too ... My son is 11 in march ,,he has not needed to be punished for over 2 years , they all love to make me proud ,,just thinking they let me down hurts them enough ,, Christmas and thanksgiving they all volunteered at the mission feeding the homeless ,,its over 1000 people a meal now and growing my Oldest Daughter is taking the Pic ,my middle one was back in the hospital ,she had a baby on the 3rd of December ,and she and the baby have had a few complications ,,but she is her 2nd child ,amazing since she was told to hang it up she would never have 1 ,she now has a boy and a girl So she is not there ,and my 18 yr old granddaughter ,she was with her man in another state ,,,but here is my crew of volunteers ,,they were taking a break The santa hats have their names on them so the people know who is serving them This is my oldest Daughter and her girls 10th year ,my sons 4th and the other kids (and a friend ) 1st year ,,next year we hope to have their Mom there too I have to brag on them ,,,they are kids that raise the standard ,,I am so proud of them all ,, Love having you here my dear friend ,always makes my day just seeing you here I pray all is well with you in our New Year 🤗🧡
