Why is it men start a conversation on dating site and when i respond, they say "Sounds great", "Ok" or something like that and don't say anything after that.

Does that mean they don't want to prolong the conversation or do they want me to take the initiative and talk more?

You can expect that from them for the rest of the relationship. Listen to people when they tell you they are assholes, they already know. If you want a relationship with a guy who will communicate - we call those "relationships" - then pay attention. He is probably just responding while he levels-up on some game, or while mom makes him a sandwich.

@ColonelFlytrap There are many more meaningful and complete conversations on SW compared to dating site.
