Dating questions

Why is it men start a conversation on dating site and when i respond, they say "Sounds great", "Ok" or something like that and don't say anything after that.

Does that mean they don't want to prolong the conversation or do they want me to take the initiative and talk more?

Way too many guys have spent too much of their life playing video games or staring at their phone and don't have a clue how to carry on an intelligent conversation.
