Dating questions

Why is it men start a conversation on dating site and when i respond, they say "Sounds great", "Ok" or something like that and don't say anything after that.

Does that mean they don't want to prolong the conversation or do they want me to take the initiative and talk more?

You have to engage both are responsible for continuing conversations. No one wants to do all the work

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit yeah but i don't want to ask a guy on a date, so i usually remain quiet. If they don't chat probably it means they are hesitating too?
