If your spouce cheated on you does that mean its okay for you to cheat too?

Pfuzylogic · M
It means it is okay to proceed with a divorce.
Pfuzylogic · M
@schizosaint If you know that is true you can not allow him to continue with the cheating.
schizosaint · 41-45, F
@ScoobyScoobydoo Thats the problem, I have a severe mental illness I couldn't hold dow a job I would have to go on disability, and my negative symptoms keep me from getting out of bed....Plus my kids prefer their father to me. They love me but they love their dad more...except my daughter told me recently that if her dad and I were to get a divorce she would be happy.
ScoobyScoobydoo · 51-55, M
@schizosaint ok I feel for you but don't think the worst. Talk it through with your husband maybe he wants the same thing and wouldn't be so heartless ... Couldn't you agree parental rights but really you need to get yourself better .. maybe one step at a time

Maybe if you had a fresh start you'd feel a lot better. Maybe this bloke just makes you totally miserable ?
Snickerdooodle · 31-35, F
No it means you should leave them.

No,but I did divorce mine.

No, two wrongs don't make a right
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Mrs Kelly would never cheat - so I do not have to worry
schizosaint · 41-45, F
@nedkelly lucky man! Im happy for you.
ScoobyScoobydoo · 51-55, M
I tried revenge it didn't much help my broken heart and I wouldn't do it again.

If your spouse stepped in dog shit, does that mean it's okay for you, too...?

Better question would be-- WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO STEP INTO IT, recognizing it for what it is...?

Same with cheating. It changes nothing except to show your price to wallow with indignity.
No, just seems as if that would just make the situation even more worse than it already is. I would just end it the trust is broken in my opinion, probably just leading to an unhealthy relationship
SW-User
No. Absolutely not. Cheating on your partner doesn't solve this situation. It just makes it more complicated. The most important is to talk about it. To know, that it was just a mistake or it became a habit...
SW-User
If it was OK they cheated

Otherwise there could be all sorts of reasons
Check those out first

@SW-User 🤔
MrK007 · 46-50, M
Yes, yes it does.
schizosaint · 41-45, F
@MrK007 I wouldn't want to.
MrK007 · 46-50, M
@schizosaint But it was a question.

I don't feel so. I feel "treat others as you wish to be treated." How we act has to do with ourselves. Not others. If that makes any sense.
SW-User
@ScoobyScoobydoo "works out good" relies on priority. If I'm acting in a way I feel is "right" then it's already worked out good. If that makes any sense.
ScoobyScoobydoo · 51-55, M
no tbh sounds hard work and too indepth for my little brain hence i hope it works out good for you.. have a great day

No, what’s the difference between you and him then?
Not at all. It may mean it’s time to end the marriage. But nothing is to be gained by also behaving dishonorably.
