Why do 50% of marriages in America end in divorce?

Because men and Women do not understand one another or take each other's views into account. Women assume that men know what they are doing = they do not and need to be trained to make love to a Woman. Men assume they have higher sex drives than Women do - they do not. Men think they know how to please a Women when they have no clue so they please themselves and big surprise the Woman does not want to be with them . Men are interested in their own pleasure not in that of Women - so why would a Woman put up with this nonsense. Then men go play with themselves instead of bothering to learn what actually works for a Woman, they go look at porn and have affairs, Women also go have affairs seeking fulfilment when they don't get it from their husbands. Women can not assume that men know how to please them, they must train and teach their men to do so, Men have to stop assuming they know anything about Women and learn how they want to be treated and take a Woman's perspective to intimacy.

Lazarus: Some of those 50% statistics get murdered too...if they can make it look like a suicide it doesn't go on the record as murder...with life insurance payouts or other monetary incentives I'm sure this is more common than anyone can imagine. I wished to hell my mother had divorced my father and became one of the divorce statistics.

Part of that percentage is because of Green card marriages. I worked at a university and lived in university housing and that was a very common thing...and also men or women students marrying someone to help support them while they went to school and then divorcing within a couple months after graduation....this stuff is still happening...happened to a woman I worked with and she had no clue he was using her.

Because people don't keep their word. And one's word doesn't mean very much to some today. Married couples say to each other in their vows "till death do us part." They don't say "till I get tired of you" but that is what they pretend that they said.

Nagging

Lack of awareness about what a marriage entails, what is expected of each partner, and how to compromise without holding onto it as a points scoring thing. I'm not sure why we don't teach marriage classes in schools.

I belive that statistic only applies to marriages that occur under the age of 30. Theyre usually financially insecure & thats the main cause of divorce. Money.

People forget that you have to actually do some work to keep the marriage going....

People are dynamic... they change, morals, values are fluid so is life nothing is forever...be the best you can be right now because anything can and will change.
