What is the most extreme thing you've done for love?

I'm not sure if this even answers my own question, but I joined the Army.

You joined the army out of love? Was she like "I wont love you unless you join up and kill some terrorists!!". ?

@Allelse lol No. We were young and I figured to start our lives out with some solid footing, I could join the military, get full pay, travel and living in the barracks for a while, I could save up a tidy amount of money all the while getting paid to be trained at something I could use once I was out.

Of course, it didn't work out exactly like I planned. But it wasn't a complete loss.

It sounds like you had a good plan and did it out of love and honesty, I'm sorry it didn't work out as planned. But life rarely does. Hopefully you were too young for vietnam?

Thanks, I tried. But life is about learning from good and bad and everything in between.

I was too young for Vietnam. I was in Germany when the wall came down, if that helps. :)

Very true, and hopefully you come out the otherside a decent human being.

Ahhhh! see now that I would have loved to have seen, except I think I was 3 at the time. But you know what I mean.

@Allelse Well I hope I turned out alright. Can only rely on others really to say if I have or not.

Yes, the wall coming down was amazing, got to take a sledgehammer to it myself with some Army buddies and a couple of German friends that wanted to go. It wasn't till years later that it dawned on me that I was part of a historic moment. Duh. lol

Well I always try and be good to others and be good to myself, not always easy as alot of people can drive you up the damn wall. But you can have love for your fellowman without liking them hahaha!

Hahahahaha! That's awesome! That would have been great. And then 20 years later you're reading a history book and you're like "Holy crap!! I was there!".
