Why is it a guy will speak to you consistently and then suddenly stop?

And I'm not speaking of not responding within a few hours to a day or two I'm speaking well over a week or more and then suddenly pop back in ? 🤔 I've also heard women do this too apparently according to some men.
It boggles my mind. 👀

I really don’t know.
When I’ve had people do that, they usually have outside things and aren’t even on here for a while.....but, there are always exceptions.
