Why is moving on so hard?

What helped you?

because it is... look at the element in it's entirety.

all i know is planning way ahead helps.. even if you aren't moving.. yet.

everything, from those who you think can help, getting rid of the extra crap in your life as in possessions...

keeping tabs on companies in your area that could also help you move.

oh and cataloging memories of the places you are with currently... :D
that's a good one! (for later looksees with popcorn and champagne.)

and keeping a notebook of all this mess... and in a desk to keep it close by.
because things change always.

but, keep friends near! some actually do love to help move.
with that note make a party out of it.. keep food and refreshments a plenty during, it helps physically and mentally.

there's more but i think i covered the base of it.

(oh and yard sales, about the whole letting go of crap but try to make some spare change to put back for the 'moving fund'.)
Lots of beer and weed lol no seriously I had a hard time with this, ended up getting sectioned lol, what I learnt is that all that really matters is accepting the reality of your situation, and for me, the hardest lesson I have faced is learning to let go.

Sure you can read all these advice sites, and to be fair I tried all that, get a new haircut, update your wardrobe, go travelling ect, and it's not bad advice tbf, but for me personally it didn't really work like a quick fix, had some good times but my mind was always wandering bk to my old girlfriend, and anything that remotely reminded me of her would cut me up, another important thing notto be hard on yourself, and feel that you have failed.

So yeah to lead back to my first point, I believe that accepting the situation is the only way really, life moves on, the world keeps moving whether we like it or not, but after the darkest night, comes the brightest day, and everyone will get there in there own time,.

The Buddha says one day when you look up to the sky and realise how perfect everything is, you will laugh. I think I finally get what he is on about,
Time always helps a little but it'll never go away.. Depending on the topic?
