Is it a bad sign if you don't have textual chemistry?

I started dating this guy. We do not have great textual (convo via text messages) chemistry, but we get along just fine f2f and sexually. He's 13 years my senior and divorced. We also have a very mild language barrier (he's Russian). Thoughts?

ALSO: He's opening up at a very slow pace-- which is expected. And he's not too fond of showing affection, but he's actually trying to so better if any of this matters.

@thepixiestixs I think it became more common to text so now some have an anxiety with phone calls. But I prefer it the conversation flows
