Is it a bad sign if you don't have textual chemistry?

I started dating this guy. We do not have great textual (convo via text messages) chemistry, but we get along just fine f2f and sexually. He's 13 years my senior and divorced. We also have a very mild language barrier (he's Russian). Thoughts?

ALSO: He's opening up at a very slow pace-- which is expected. And he's not too fond of showing affection, but he's actually trying to so better if any of this matters.

textual chemistry???? That's it...society is circling the drain

@Fernie I didn't think it actually existed until I was surfing the web. Honestly, it shouldn't have that much weight in a relationship. I believe IRL/f2f chemistry is MUCH more important.

@thepixiestixs about 90%+ of human communication is through body language, eye contact and voice inflection. It's no wonder why your generation and the ones coming up have questionable social skills and very weak coping skills (not directing this at you but you ARE caught up in it). Gone are the days when strangers smiled at each other and said "Good Morning" etc. Across the board now all we see are the tops of people's heads...it's very disturbing to know who will be running things soon. Where will the humanity be??
