Oh, I plan on doing this. I have a house, cars, savings, a 401K, etc. She has everything to gain and nothing to lose.

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit Hmmmmmmm. I double checked. I was actually wrong. Nope. You can't actually determine anything relative to custody of the children, as it has to be decided on a case-by-case basis. In the U.S., at least.
It seems a prenup only sets rules for property, money, and mediation or arbitration of disagreements and such, along with guidelines of what the spouse's marital responsibilities will be. But. It can't include anything regarding child custody or child support.

@Tatsumi ah gotcha well then again the guy I plan on marrying has got no property or vehicle, house, not lots of cash in an account so he is safe from me taking anything financially valuable. I'm happy to share a shed if he is there. But if he wanted me to sign some kinda 'you can't have my stuff thing' I'd see no issue
