Sad news.....awww...🥺

My daughter told me last week she was thinking of ending things with her girlfriend.
Ive just had a long text of the gf telling me its over and thanking me for welcoming her into our family for the last 2 years.
They are both very young and have careers to concentrate on.... but i really thought theyd be together always... im so sad.
Shes such a lovely girl and i'll really miss her. X

Aww bless them, you’re just like my mum, my younger bro said goodbye to his long distance bf yesterday and my mum was crying when he was getting on the coach! You’ve got a lot of love in you 💖 remember to keep in contact with her, you never know what will happen in the future xx

That is sad. But if the separation is amicable, no reason why you should not be able to remain friends with her.

@SunshineGirl we said we will stay in touch. She doesn't live locally, so its unlikely we will see her again, but it will be weird when our girl.comes home without her ( shes in the army)

Awww. How respectful. What a class act.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@Starcrossed she is. I hope my daughter had the decency to do the same with her folks.

You can never tell how things end up . If there are no bumps in the road then they aren’t doing it right . The fact that she sent you that text tells you there is still love in her heart .

It may only be temporary or not even happen but in the end God knows what is best.

She may find another girl that you also like as much and you can still be friends with this girl as well and maybe invite her for dinner on occasion. Not to worry.

And I'd say she will miss you, hopefully you both can keep in touch. I'd say you were like another momma to her! ❤️
I’m sorry. 🖤
@RubySoo we all grieve in our own way. even grieving a relationship. 🖤

Yes, sad news when someone you are close to, and through unfortunate circumstances, you may not see them anymore.
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
Aww that stinks, hope they both find someone. Will you stay friends with her ex ?
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@FreeSpirit1 i hope so. Love her to bits x

@RubySoo ♥️

There's no reason you can't maintain a friendship with your daughter's ex just on your own.
SteveTomms · 56-60, M
Oh dear, sorry about that x

When you said “very young” I thought this was a teenage love. That’s what very young means. Too young to have careers.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@Cyclist my girl is 22...gf 20. Still pretty young to settle down.
Cyclist · 41-45, M
@RubySoo true
could be she could live with you,

Awww that’s tough. Maybe down the line they will connect again.
