Betrayal of a Friend

Have you ever had a gut feeling about someone but ignored it?

I had a disabled friend that I felt tremendously sorry for. I helped her out every way I could and she took advantage of me big time. She had the money but refused to spend it to get help. I was not the only one she used.

As the pieces of her picture came out, I realized that not only was I used, played, manipulated and taken advantage of but it was much worse than I had imagined.

I ended the friendship 4 years ago. The final straw was that I knew when Trump was shutting down the country due to covid ahead of everybody. (our office manager's fiancee worked at Mar a Lago)

I called her and told her to prepare and she snickered. She hated Trump. She wasn't listening to the message, she turned it into an opportunity to bash Trump. it was the final straw for me.

She is a member of my church and I am really struggling with this. I sure don't have Christian thoughts.

As a pastor's child I grew up with a front row seat to just how low church people can go. I've seen people use religion to evade all accountability for their actions. I've seen people use the bible to learn how to mimic being a good Christian. It's best to just detach and allow their actions to catch up with them. They always do.

@PinkMoon you are absolutely right on all counts. this lady was taking back fabric to give to the pastors wife. the pastor's wife didn't want it. i think what bothered me was that i had never asked her for a dime yet she had tons of money. she was sittiing on a lot of fabric, sewing machines and yarn knowing that i was doing charity work. she had to let me know she gave it to the pastor's wife. then it hit me how used i had been
