I'm confused

Is it okay to be FUBU with your ex ,especially if you' ve been together for couple of years ? Why or why not ?

How did it work out for you ?Did it purely physical or did old feelings come back ?

If you can make it work then sure
Not for me but I can see the appeal
Someone you are familiar with and know what one another are into
Just because you don’t want to be in a relationship doesn’t mean you have to avoid each other entirely
Plenty of exes stay friends
Some still have mutual attraction even if a relationship wouldn’t work for one reason or another

But again not for me
I go scorched earth on my exes

I am not looking up FUBU, but I can tell you for me, once a woman is an ex there is absolutely zero back track and retrace for me, that's why they are my ex to begin with.

Maybe I’m just ignorant, but what is FUBU?

Confession time...
If you didn't follow up with the context, I would have had to look up 'FUBU'.

Secondly, doesn't sound like a good idea... no matter how dry the season might be.

@Tofulilly I think we come from two completely different planets. You're over there weighing up whether FUBU with an ex is a good idea, while I come from a world where we didn't really have premarital sex (and it's not an age gap thing, I still know loads of people your age here who still have the same 'values'.
The kind that is still trying to convince themselves that holding hands for too long is a 'slippery slope'!

And now you have an actual acronym for sleeping with someone you're supposedly not emotionally involved with. FUBU. Four letters to make something that could potentially turn your entire emotional life upside down sound like a casual Tuesday afternoon... 😂

But jokes aside, I'm genuinely curious about something. When you've been with someone for years, how do you draw that line between wanting their body and wanting them? Surely there's a danger that familiarity feels like intimacy, and intimacy starts masquerading as love again?

So tell me this... is FUBU with an ex really about enjoying the comfort of someone who already knows all your buttons to push, or is it sometimes a way of keeping a door open that neither person is quite brave enough to walk through?

And be careful how you answer that last bit... I'm an inquisitive man, and I have a feeling your answer might tell me more about you than you're intending to reveal 😉
