I feel like I always talk about myself when me and my husband talk. /=

Like currently we don't have electricity so we just started talking, and I realize the reason I always am talking, either about myself or some topic I find interesting, is because he always talks about video games (and sometimes other media), whenever he is talking. I would be very interested if he talked about himself, but he never does. Aside from news, which we both discuss together, he only talks about things that are soooo uninteresting. 😩

I mean I love video games, but it's boring to hear about some experience he had inside a game I never even played lol. How do I make him talk more about himself, or just real life stuff? 🥺

I'm not sure if it's true for him, but for me there generally just isn't that much about me to say. Especially if it's with someone I have been around for a long time. My day to day doesn't change much. And most of what I'm paying attention to are the stressful details of life. Another war kicking off, how the finances are doing, how AI is threatening my job and other such things that are just going to bring a conversation down. And even if I talk about them one day, then I won't have anything be to say until something changes or a new crisis emerges.

@ViciDraco Perhaps some people just aren't big talkers. I always knew that about him, but I wish he would sometimes think about stuff like our future together, how to decorate the house we may buy one day, what dog breed we should get next, things like that.
