Is it ever bad to let go of things easily

I was with this girl online, who at the time was a bit uptight about everything
she's totally chill now, honestly she's awesome, got her own buisness and stuff...
but when she told me the news of this new boy,
I was just like "Okay, all the best" -to paraphrase my whole attitude.

But she was like "You could atleast care a bit 😡"
Like she wanted me to be upset, which I was, a bit... But I was being like this for her.
I reckon if I cared she would have blasted me aswell for trying to make everything about me lol.

I think she actually cared no more than you did, but wanted to appear offended to be able to make you feel bad. You are right: you couldn't have responded in a way that would satisfy. I assume that all online only 'relationships' by their nature superficial anyway.

She wanted you to be jealous a bit and show her that you did care. But you didn't do that.

@bookerdana What does gumption mean? I might look it up but telling me here helps the community to understand too.
