What Is The Goal For You?

This is for those with a (or more) marriage behind you and you are out there dating again or considering it.

Is marriage what you are ultimately looking for again?

Would you consider other outcomes - like a LAT (living alone together) or other modern monogamous alternative?

Would you conside things like open relationships or polyamory ?

What are the reasons for your answer? Does your age influence your answer, if so .. how?

The whole idea of "going out there dating again" just seems so forced and that's kind of unappealing to me. I like it when things just happen instead of looking for it.

I've never really thought about having relationship goals I guess. I think my goal is to find contentment with how things are, whether single or not. However, I am a romantic at heart and would love to find love. But my experiences with it is that love seems to find you, rather than you finding it... if you know what I mean?

I would not consider open relationships or polyamory.

And I feel the same as I did when I was 20, so age doesn't influence my answer... except that I maybe cared more about it back then.

@StarLily Very similar to how I'm thinking. I think there has to be some level of openness/intention toward dating for it to have a meaningful chance to happen. Even if it is just keeping an active schedule of some type of outings to places where others gather.

Okay so I’ve been married before to an abusive man I was able to leave and divorce.. I wasn’t looking to date or marry again for a long time Cowboy was my “buddy” but I ended up falling in love with him.. hard.. we got engaged pretty quick and are getting married this December.. he makes me feel safe and I would not have an open marriage

I've been divorced twice. I have zero interest in marriage or living with someone again. I am not against being in love or dating them though.
