Waiting is suffering

Just got rejected by my office crush. Phew, I had been waiting for this for a long time. I think waiting for a 'Yes' or 'No' is more painful than getting a 'No.'

I feel down but I think I'll move on.

I should've asked her out weeks ago and got the rejection out of the way.

Last time I got rejected was a break up in my 20s. The rejection part wasn't the break up itself. It was that he asked his son to no longer interact with me and then tried to use that to pressure me. I loved his son as if he was my own but not enough to live like a victim.

Years passed and he wanted me to allow them back into my life. Of course I said no.
