@ToriTalking yes but not "overly"- dependent that we feel like we can't live without them. Overly-independent is also bad... since it suggests that you don't trust anyone to rely on.

@Rambler yes, as much as possible... better be independent.. Sometimes it's ok to depend/rely on others if trust them, at some point we have to depend on others... it's fine too. The problem is being overly-dependent.

@sahi81 That is true. It is one of the biggest problems with dysfunctional families. We keep making excuses for them

@conscienceforsale dependency puts stress on others to meet our every need, everyone have own problems which they are overwhelmed with to worry about meeting every need of others, it's not good to expect too much from others than they can do.

@sahi81 I guess it is important to set expectations and boundaries in every relationship. It is important there be trust and faith and not try to micro manage someone else's life.
