You have to change that when you get married.

Such words are uttered only when one has played a lot with your feelings and emotions and hurt you to the core. I hope you find happiness soon. Good luck!👍

I am not sure I agree. When we are small we depend on mommy and daddy and later we should be able to depend on the person we marry
sahi81 · 22-25, F
@ToriTalking yes but not "overly"- dependent that we feel like we can't live without them. Overly-independent is also bad... since it suggests that you don't trust anyone to rely on.

This is definitely true, we have to take care of your own life and not depend on any one else to fix us or heal us.

[@sahl81] 🤔no very true as you have got too be able too stand on your own two feet too some extent as some people are unrealiable and will let you down at a drop of a hat
sahi81 · 22-25, F
@smiler2012 yes some people take advantage and also anything can happen in life. Accidents or deaths, etc

So right, yet so hard but as humans we tend to do this without really realising.

@sahi81 That is true. It is one of the biggest problems with dysfunctional families. We keep making excuses for them
sahi81 · 22-25, F
@conscienceforsale dependency puts stress on others to meet our every need, everyone have own problems which they are overwhelmed with to worry about meeting every need of others, it's not good to expect too much from others than they can do.
conscienceforsale · 46-50, M
@sahi81 I guess it is important to set expectations and boundaries in every relationship. It is important there be trust and faith and not try to micro manage someone else's life.
