I would not go, but would explain nicely to my friend why not. A real friend should understand.

Perhaps she wants to restore your relationship. Only you know why you broke up and only you can decide if and when to try again; but doing so via someone's party is not the best way. In fact I think it would be among the worst ways.

In reading your various responses, it sounds as though you actually have decided, but your "friend" is insistently trying to change your mind.

Stick to your guns, and simply tell your friend that he/she needs to respect your decision.

Do that and then listen for what is said after.
