I have been on both ends, and usually one of two things happen:
1) They move on with time, and we continue to be friends who respect eachother.
2) They become very disrespectful and jealous of other girls I date, and I'm forced to block them everywhere because of it.

I always hope for scenario 1, but more often than not it's scenario 2.
