If a guy asks you your age, if you have kids, and if you own your own car because he can hire you for his catering business. Is he trying to flirt?

No he’s not flirting. But I’m pretty sure he’s not allowed to ask at least one of those questions
@Jenny1234 None of those questions are appropriate.

Well, I understand the question about having a vehicle since it’s a catering business. But your personal life should be irrelevant to him if we’re talking business. Be careful.

No, he’s checking to see if you have responsibilities that would take you away from being flexible. He’s also not allowed to ask you those questions.

Totally just like the friendly check out person at the store is always trying to flirt.
He isn't flirting. But I wouldn't want to work for him if I had kids to take care of.
I would imagine those questions may have been developed when dealing with servers who legitimately can’t come to work because of child care problems, unreliable transportation or being underage for employment.

Or he is efficient and updates his little black book while doing interviews.
Why so many question irrelevant to the business ?

He needs a better HR person for his company
Or seeing if you're a suitable scam victim. 🤷

No. He’s breaking the law actually.

As a former food service manager myself, those are all illegal questions, You should look somewhere else, I sense sexual harrassment vibes.
