Musical differences in relationships.

I love classic rock, I also like some heavy metal, blues, classical, film scores, folk music, and alternative rock as well. I even like some post rock/ambient music. Classic rock is my favorite though. I used to want a girlfriend/wife that liked classic rock like me but now I kind of want someone that likes different music than me, so that way I won't get sick of my favorite music. I just want her to respect my taste and I will respect hers. Do any of you have a significant other with similar or different taste in music than you?

Sort of… My gf listens mostly to hip hop, however I listen to almost everything under the sun. My playlist includes hip hop, k pop, metal, punk, rock and classic rock, rap, folk metal, classical pop, electronica, edm, disco, a cappella, blues, swing and jazz, vocaloid, and a host of others, all in roughly a dozen different languages.
