I don’t understand age gap relationships. I’m not in the market for one, but I look at young women and they appear to be headaches and drama.

So I’ll thank my lucky stars I’m spoken for.

Exactly!! Besides sex, what could you possibly have in common to talk about? I’m 59 and am too old to date, but when I see guys my age going after 25 year old women, I can’t imagine what they would talk about once they finished sex. And what’s the girl gonna do when she’s 50 and still looks good and he’s 80… is she going to take care of all his health problems?

@Mardrae depends on his money.

@Baremine well that’s sad…so basically it would be “ hey Daddy- what are you gonna buy me next?” Ugh

@Mardrae I'll take my wife. 18 months older than me, been my wife for 56 years come December.

@Baremine that’s awesome! I’ve had 4 husbands and all 4 didn’t even add up to half the amount of time you’ve spent with your wife. It just wasn’t meant for me to have a relationship in this lifetime.

@Mardrae add four years to that as I was only 15 when we met and started going together.

@Mardrae When I was in my mid-twenties I dated men who were 20 years older than me. Why? Because they didn’t act like immature, ill tempered boys like most men my own age (20ish). I could also have an intelligent conversation with them without ego getting in the way. Men my own age seemed to feel threatened by my intelligence and independence whereas a man 20 years my senior had developed his own confidence and was not intimidated by me. We never lacked for things to talk about. And it all wasn’t just about sex. Older men also treated me with respect, and were interested in satisfying my needs and not just their own. One more thing, none of it depended on money. Money doesn’t attract me, it is the character of the person that attracts me and has nothing to do with age.

If the woman is in a committed relationship and loves him, she will take care of him. It is what I would do. Age has nothing to do with this, a person of any age could come down with a debilitating illness, and their loved ones take care of them. It is what you do when you care for someone. If not, then it shows the true character of the person, and I’m sure that would show up in a number of ways shortly into the relationship. A man who sticks around for that… well that is his decision, but I wouldn’t.
