What is an example of a good reason to end a long term relationship?

They don’t try to understand you
They’re not there for you when you most need them
They’re stubborn and don’t get the help they need

If you are just wanting out but don't have a specific reason you could chalk it up as the relationship has run it's course.

Relationships and even friendships eventually just get boring. Doesn't mean anything bad happened, it is just time to move on.

It doesn't feel like a relationship anymore and you are with each other just out of habit, you are constantly annoyed by them, have the urge to find passion elsewhere, take each other for granted, grow apart etc

The thrill is gone

No longer finding fullfillment in your relationship. Daily arguments.

I think cheating is the No1 i guess.
Then maybe if theres a breakdown in communication,and respect.
To be with someone a long time,requires much effort and input.
Its a pity,but you cant just fall in to a neutral funk with someone where nothing is happening.Effort is required.

Oh dear,i think a lot of people might not agree,but i was with a girl once,about 2 1/2 years,and i found out i worked with a guy,who also had been in a relationship with her years before.
It turned out whilst with him she had cheated on him with 2 other guys,even bringing a guy back to the flat they shared whilst he was away in hospital for a few nights.
She never told me this so i felt a bit betrayed,so i decided not to continue with her.
The rationale was i was unsure she hadnt been unfaithful with me.

She no longer laughs at your jokes.

They hang the toilet paper roll backwards.

We could sit and name off reasons all day. Bottom line is you're ready to move on. . So do it.

You are no longer passionate about knowing them or spending time with them

Because you want to. That’s it. Why does it have to be so complicated?

Lots of reasons, but I think many times it's just selfishness

If it's becoming much too one-sided self-respect will eventually have to kick in.
