In a relationship do you think it’s better to be more alike or compete opposites?

Combination of both. U definitely need to share morals and world views...but when it comes to hobbies and all that i think it doesnt matter. If anything it brings more stuff to do when u learn about eachothers hobbies or talents.

My gf and I are way more different than we are alike. In the past some of those differences were points of friction. Now they are points of discussion about our days. 🙂
I prefer someone who compliments me. I dont need a twin or the conflict that comes with being too different.

You don’t want to have everything in common, but you should have certain core values/ideals which correspond....complete opposites won’t work, so I think it’s better to be more alike (though not too much alike).

I think a balance is good

i don’t think that dogs and cats should marry for the litter’s sake. 🤨

I'd say you should have at least 50%-75% of interests or hobbies in common for a relationship to really thrive.

Like two pieces of a jigsaw, you should be sufficiently different but share a middle ground where you come together. Balance is the best recipe for a good relationship.

You should have shared or similar life goals so you can move in the same direction. You want common hobbies you can do together and separate hobbies that you can do apart. I think more alike gets on better with long term boring but stable while more different gives an extra rush to the short time excitement with an inevitable crash and burn
