As long as you don't do it behind their back and deceive them or give them false expectations, you can absolutely have more than one boyfriend

SW-User Best Comment
Cause you’d be a ho Fosho!
Anielka · F
You can have a husband and a boyfriend too it's not uncommon.
ShaneMckay · 41-45, M
@Anielka (Do I smell Divorce Court??)
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
I remember my grandma (she’s 96) telling me about dating multiple men in her young years. That’s how people dated. If you decided to be exclusive you committed. Nowadays you meet a man and a week later he’s dropping the L bomb. Everything is expected to be so serious when I’m reality you need time to get to know someone. And if there’s more than one, you should be honest about it. We all lose someone we like sometimes but is it ever the end of the world? No.
SalttyDawg · 70-79, M
@AlchemyFox The more the better 👍
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@AlchemyFox okay that’s fair I’ll try be honest about it ..
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@AlchemyFox But there was another aspect to the custom in your grandmother's day.

Back then, "nice girls" and "gentlemen" were expected to view premarital sex as wrong.

So casually dating lots of people was actually a sign of being virtuous, as presumably it meant you were not getting too intimate with any one of them.

But, it did give people time to get to know each other before "going steady", which used to mean "almost engaged."

Young people today strike me as in a bind. On the one hand, there is pressure to have sex after just a few dates. On the other hand, many want to reserve sex for a meaningful committed relationship. There's a contradiction there, and I think that's one reason the L bomb gets dropped so soon.

Trying to have
More than one
Is the quickest
Way to have none
ShaneMckay · 41-45, M
@GJOFJ3 EXACTLY my point! Thank you!
exexec · 61-69, C
My wife had several boyfriends in college, but I was the "real" one. I only saw her once or twice a month during the school year, so the other boyfriends were her daily boyfriends.
Highskirt · 56-60, M
I encourage my wife to take on a lover or two 😋
Lovingsomeone · 31-35, F
I'm married and have a fwb's.
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@Lovingsomeone why do you have fwb if your married ??
tallpowerhouseblonde · 31-35, F
You can. When I was in my late teens and early twenties I had up 5 boyfriends at the same time.None of them ever found out about my other boyfriends.
tallpowerhouseblonde · 31-35, F
@SalttyDawg I have a boyfriend I am in an open relationship with now and I have 5 fwb's,one of them is the married CEO from my workplace.
SalttyDawg · 70-79, M
@tallpowerhouseblonde
Awesome 😛 Variety is good 😉
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@tallpowerhouseblonde hmm i like the sound of that
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
I don;t know, why can't you? LONG ago when I was your age that was called "playing the field" and encouraged because people thought that that age was too young to commit to a single person.
wonkywinky · 51-55, M
Then again,it is a bit wrong to feel that way.Surely if you find you have no feelings at all for someone you shouldnt play with their emotions.
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@wonkywinky i do be having some sort of feelings for them and it’s hard to just pick one cuz they both satisfy different needs of mine … but I guess I’ll learn to be loyal
Piper · 61-69, F
You can, of course, even if you choose to be deceitful about it. That would definitely be very uncool, though, to not be honest about what you're doing.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
If you feel like that, then clearly your current boyfriend isn't.
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@TeirdalinFirefall that’s deep , it’s not that serious lol he is minr
wonkywinky · 51-55, M
Hmmm if youre honest and tell them about each other then i guess its up to them how they react.Of course both of them could walk away from you.
Why cant you choose?
I was once lost out simply because i lived a longish way away, but i know she loved me too,and it was a hard decision for her-i was nicer,he was more convenient. But,honesty it was.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Man is not monogamous
ShaneMckay · 41-45, M
You may very well lose your 1 boyfriend if you choose to date another too!
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@ShaneMckayI will ensure they don’t find out
ShaneMckay · 41-45, M
@Cherryblossom10 Lying and covering up is not a good idea either. No one knowingly dates a lier.

@jshm2 no not really , i make sure that I’m only doing it raw with one person and I only kiss one person on the lips
Joeyj16 · M
Just date until you find the right dude and don’t call him your boyfriend until you find him
You can make it clear that you are non-exclusive while you are deciding.
ReneeT · 61-69, M
Unless you found someone who you can't live without, there is no reason to just have one.
SW-User
You're young. Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to get into a monogamous relationship if that is your desire. And you could be polyamorous at heart, who knows. The term boyfriend/girlfriend does give the connotation of a committed relationship. But who's to say you can't be committed to more than one person simultaneously.
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
You can do that... there's nothing wrong with it!
11knaves11 · 41-45, M
Because you let the secret out yourself 😉
bgjb58 · M
Who says you can’t?
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@bgjb58 society duhhhh
brain163 · 61-69, M
@Cherryblossom10 Exactly......we have all been Societally conditioned in many ways. I wish for a simpler way of multiple different dimensional relationships - not one relationship that is supposed to encapsulate everything for the rest of your life! 🤗
SW-User
That’s called dating
SW-User
You can. I would just suggest you date 2 or 3 boys at once though and not call them a boyfriend. They’re not your boyfriend if you have not actually chosen one to be yet.
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@SW-User hmm I guess but I want both of the guys I’m talking to , to be mine …
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
SW-User
You can, just make your point clear to them. I'm not for keeps yet. 😂
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@SW-User Yh but they might leave me after knowing that , I want to keep them around until I make up my mind ..
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
Who is stopping you
SW-User
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Cherryblossom10 they don’t like it when women behave like men for some reason 🧐
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@DeluxedEdition THATSSS SO TRUEEE !
redredred · M
I’d be happy to share you
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@redredred okay come
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
