I'm starting to suspect he's not that interested

We talk every day, but I'm always the one who has to initiate it. We have nice long conversations, but real intimacies are never shared. We flirt, but there isn't any real affection. We talk about visiting each other, but no plans are made. I'm starting to feel some dissatisfaction. I don't really want to date other guys, but I don't want to waste my time and feelings on someone who isn't really interested in me.

Ask him point blank if he wants to be real with you or just is stringing you along for conversation.. have you at least video chatted this person?

@SStarfish thank you. i asked him point blank if he was just interested in being friends. he told me he was just trying to be respectful and he didn't know how to navigate dating from a distance. he also said he would initiate more, and we're making plans for him to come visit next month. he said all the right things, but tbh, i'm still not sure.
