Is it a blow to a guy's ego if his woman knows more about cars than him?

Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
Lol i think those times have passed. I love Jeeps and Mustangs especially and before I was sick rockcrawling and anything outdoors. I used to attract quite a bit of attention up under the hood when something went wrong. I couldn't always reach so I would climb up. Not long ago I had a guy friend drooling because i knew all about air fuel ratios etc. I used to put on my little overalls and a tshirt and help my daddy tinker with cars. I soaked in those lessons like a sponge and in some ways know as much as, if not more than my brothers.

Not to my ego. That sounds extremely fun, hot and something fun to share with each other

To some but mostly no.I can drive better than my boyfriend can.I grew up with two older brothers and a father that like cars so I learned plenty about cars.I can rev match, change gears without using the clutch.

I'd love a female partner who knew more about cars than me, because I for one don't plan on learning much about them, if I can avoid it. 😛

No. The only reason would be if he wants to feel better than her

@Gilgamesh I frustrated my ex because I know more about his car than him lol, and he wouldn't let me drive it.
Gilgamesh · 31-35, M
@WendyLopez43 well if he wanted to stop feeling that then he should have gone somewhere and learn more about. Atleast use that as motivation to get to know more. If not it just seems petty, and wanting to be right without the answers

That’s just hot to me. I know more about flowers than anyone I know Doesn’t make me anything but awesome

Depends what guy. Majority i think would be ok with it. Even they maybe feel they lost a little of what should be a classic man thing.

Things have also changed maybe.
Look at some really old black and white,
educational youtube videos on how cars function. Its tooo funny, they are like "look stupid silly woman. I will explain you how suspension on car works" 🤣

Personally not really. Could be amazing.
But would have episode of "no way, i will show how much i know!".

Thats so old fashioned and conservative. Fucking hate when people do the gender assumptions
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Who's this mechanic you've spent so much time with? 🤔
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M

It shows you are really into cars!
