Freind number 1 bf got her a promise ring instead.

Friend number 2 bf told her that he doesn't believe in that kind of stuff. "it's just a piece of paper and if someone wants to be with you, they're going to be with you paper are not"

Well it is a problem women created. In days of old when a man courted a woman he was getting a person who would be special to him creat a home and family. Now days lots of women have been out parting many have babies from an old flame or bf. She is now asking a man for a commitment but what is he getting out of it? He is being asked to spend 2000-20000 or more for what. What is he getting of equal value. Disclaimer your friends may not fit any of this they may be a virgin or only have slept with the guy they are asking and no one else.
