How long before feelings eventually fade away?

Depends. Feelings for my dog are still painful, I miss him terribly. Feelings for the evil woman that manipulated me at every opportunity, don't miss her one bit.

I haven't spoken to a few family members in the last six months and the feelings are still there. 😖

One doesn't have to put any effort.

It varies. Preoccupying yourself with other activities can help to distract.
