@LaylaTheTallGirl The way I was raised and the norms of the area I grew up in most likely. I never considered the existence of an interracial couple until I saw one in Colorado while I was playing in a softball tournament. I asked my parents about it that night over dinner and mom explained the world was vast and multifaceted, and that my world was about to expand. She was right, college was a real eye opener.

I never considered it for me. I always wanted a big sandy haired blued eyed hunk to call my own, and I found one. 🤷‍♀️

@TexChik Oooh okay. We’ll I’ve always dated my own race as well. I’ve dated a Latino but my ex boyfriends were white and so where the guys I like. I love guys with blue eyes too.

@TexChik plus most people prefer their own race anyways. My siblings prefer their own race and they’re married.

@LaylaTheTallGirl There are a lot of mixed-race marriages here now, with so many people filtering into Texas. To each their own.
