I mentioned that to him weeks ago. But he doesn't believe in mental health. And really ignorant about it. @WhateverWorks

You might get further with him if you stay away from language like depression then and instead use words like stress and lessening stress. Could be good to talk to him about how he feels about his stress and what would help? @Ifollowmyownstar
