Reading used to be one of my favorite things and I'd have 2 and 3 books going constantly. I'd like to enjoy books again. It's one of the things I find I've lost joy in. So maybe 1 is my goal for 2026. I've not managed even that in the last few years.

No but I've prioritised some time for reading every day. At least on hour usually from 7-8pm. I want less TV time and more mental exercise. I got a subscription to the New Yorker too, for any time I lack a book.
I find reading really enriches my life.

Not a goal per se, because I love to read and do it continually. But I’ve found I read about 30-35 legit, complete books in a typical year. And I also spend time browsing through at least that many more in the form of poetry, essays, etc. without reading them cover to cover. Not to mention magazines, online stuff, etc.

@Harmonium1923 one of the reasons why i don’t read novels or books anymore is because when i see the cover I assume I know what’s it going to be about and I don’t have the patience to read it all like I used to in high school 😝

Reading is so woven into my life that i don't think of anything like a goal. I am usually reading a couple books at any one time, wherever my interests take me, from one of my "to be read" piles to something new that has got my attention. The only goal is to keep going.

My reading habit has gone done hill, so I don't read as much as I used to. I want to read at least 10 novels this year, keeping in mind my eyes don't start to bother me even more than they already do.

No. I'm going blind and can't read real books anymore, only ebooks on this tablet. I have one waiting on the library app this morning so I'll be busy for a few days.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
Apparently, I read (lol) reading rates have declined among adults because it is being replaced by doom scrolling and mindless internet surfing. I'm guilty of that.

I never stop reading 📖 bedtimes aren’t the same without reading. Not sure how many I read last year but the last book I actually read recently was ‘memoirs of a geisha’ by Arthur Golden prior to that a lot of WW2 novels

Just finishing that Lone Wolf series by Joe Dever I purchased last year but only got through a few books, lol.

Not a goal as such but I love reading, I’ve read one already and I’m half way through another. 😊👍

20. I used to be able to read 30 or more books a year, but it has become a real struggle now.
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
I read non fiction and it's becoming harder to find stuff of interest so I'll be happy if I read 5 this year.
Magicianzini · M
My goal should probably be to try to read less. I'm a reading vacuum.
Cigarguy · 41-45, M
I still haven't finished the book I started in highschool lol
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
My goal is to at least finish the one I started
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Nope.
My goal is to finish one in one sitting. 😩

Aiming for four a month, including one anthology of poetry.

Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@Monalisasmith86 what does that have to do with it?
No, books bore me so much.
